Duane Wentlandt of Oregon City, OR purchased this Rampside in September, 2024 from the estate of Timothy Shortle of Durango, CO. Tim had purchased this Rampside from Larry Neal of Colorado Springs, CO in June, 2011. Larry purchased the truck from a ranch in Colorado Springs area in about 1990. Larry was told that the ranch was the original owner.
Unsurprisingly, the original engine appears to be in the truck, with code T1119V, which indicates 95 HP, manual transmission. The engine has its original 1964-style magnesium fan, harmonic balancer, 12-plate oil cooler, upper and lower belt guides, FC top shroud, FC oil dipstick, and no oil filler tube on the generator adapter. The truck has its original 4-speed transmission (linkage passes through hole in the gas tank). Unfortunately, the original differential was changed by Larry when he bought it, because it was only working in one direction.
Timothy promises to send some photos soon!
